The Elier Vela Foundation

In Remembrance of 

Elier Vela

June 13, 1982 - June 4, 2007

The Elier Vela Foundation was created in honor of Staff Sergeant Elier Vela, who proudly served his country both stateside and during deployment.  Sadly he was stricken with cancer and lost his valiant battle.  It is with great respect and pride that The Elier Vela Foundation supports troops in his name and thus carries on the legacy of Staff Sergeant Elier Vela.

The Elier Vela Foundation Mission Statement:

Elier Vela had a kind spirit, and it is the goal of The Elier Vela Foundation to carry on his legacy by:

• sending care packages daily
• communicating with and taking requests from troops in an effort to provide personalized care packages
• offering a college scholarship to the child of a veteran of the Afghanistan or Iraq fronts
